I am so going back to this hotel. ♥

I seriously didn’t know that Midnight in Paris will give me that big of an impact. Reasons why I got so attached to it:

• Everyone knows I’ve been dreaming of living in Paris and I’m quite serious about it.
• I always tell my mom that I should be living in the past. In another era. Except in the movie, Gil wants to live in the 20’s. I want to live in the 60’s and 70’s. I would always ask her why she wasn’t born during the 1920’s. That way I’d be born during the 40’s and would be a young adult during the 60’s.
• In relation to that, one lesson learned, however, is we can never really be satisfied with our present. If we really get to live during our dream era and start getting used to it, we’ll start dreaming of another better past and the cycle will just go on and drag us to nowhere. 
• My love for reading. The moment Scott Fitzgerald and Hemingway came out, I was like crazy spazzing all over the place. Love for reading is a gift. A very beautiful gift and I’m thankful that I get to receive such beautiful present. :)
• Just like Gil, I am surrounded with too realistic and too practical people (my family, unfortunately) who always play safe in life which makes me want to get away more.
• Just like Gil, I want to be a writer. A real writer. (na let go ko na to. I don’t have the narrative skills and I’m not very fluent with words lol) 
• I LOVE THE RAIN! I think any place is more beautiful when it rains. 
• It made me realize how 2 people sharing the same interests is very important in every relationship. Because in the long run, you’ll grow tired of impressing each other and start to be more of yourself. And I think you need a good companion for that who shares the same passion as you. Differences are inevitable anyways. There’s always room for something new but you need at least a steady foundation before trying out everything.

I just.. I fell in love with this film in an instant. It’s like it made the fire burning within me light up so much stronger. It made me feel like I’m not alone on these things, in these thoughts. This is the same feeling I had when I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower. You know you’ve found a good piece if it made you feel like you’re not a nobody in this world. That on the other side of the planet, fact or fiction, someone’s thinking the same thoughts that you have in mind and suddenly, you won’t feel so alone anymore. I should probably start making it happen. It’s never too late anyways. Thank You, Woody Allen. :)
